My mate's 742 with 4.10s and a spool. BOOM! Anyone got any soft Pro gears about 3.91s (soften the launch!) or are these unavailable. I've only found 4.86s in "Pro" style at Randy's Ring and Pinion. Any other leads. Very urgent.....

Geezer needs 'em next Tuesday Didn't know if anyone had any knocking around as they are unsuitable for street use. If you could get a quote on 3.91 Pro gears for 742 that would be great. I think if he wants to get out quick he'll have to have street gears.

Aha! The ol' 742 Vs. 489 debate! 742; Stronger case, smaller pinion. 489; Weaker case, bigger pinion. Will sir be requiring a new set of gears, or a new housing? Over the years of debate on Moparts I think they are both equal in terms of strength. Swings and Roundabouts. Prepare for the flak! The axle is living (Dying?) behind this;
