how to wire up nuetral safety switch on 727 ???

hi ia have a 67 gtx satallite and im fitting a b and m shifter to do way with the stick !! i got a new engine loom bay but it does not come with any wiring for nuetral safety switch how can i wire this up ????

There will be a safety switch in the trans, most likely has 3 prongs, early boxes had a single wire switch.

The 2 outside prongs are for reversing lights, the centre prong is for the neutral safety switch.

Your shifter should have a micro switch, which is activated in Neutral & park.

The centre prong wire should go to the connector on the bulkhead/firewall, which feeds to the 'Start' position on the ignition key. When turning the ignition key the switch feeds power to this terminal & engages the starter relay.

Mine is a race car set up, so my wiring would be different, so no point showing any photos, but works in the same principal as an earth type brake switch

I am sure Blue or Dunc will be along soon and give you a better detailed description
