Yep, great day's racing

...........I think Bertha's driver was on over cautious mode alright what with it's history/not been out in donkeys years/not the owner and not least it was peeing down on the first outing

.............. I was surprised to see a Rover mill in the little Daf, sounded like a big-block

but after talking to the driver who informed me that it's only used for display purposses nowadays we limit the motor to 5k and short shift it........... likewise the fat beetle went ok but not on full chat also,................as Rich said, the Mk2 Escort was very quick with it's BDG on mechanical FI, no other sound like it

he killed everything in the wet but not the same story in the dry, I think this was down to driver skill however as he was the only one not lifting off the gas through Devils Elbow..............and yes, the Cologne Capri with it's quad cam V6 on mechanical FI sounded ace but didn't seem to be as quick as it should, maybe on the cautious side again

............ nice to see the little un's having a right good ding-dong with the big boys, Mini Marcos, Healy Sprites, Hillman Imps/Davrians, various Triumphs, etc and not least an NSU Prinz

that went well..............Also of note where some big bodied 6,0 litre Jags, a Reliant Scimitar with pro-charger that went well............
And yes there was some Yank tin there, 1 Camaro, 1 C1 Corvette, 1 Mustang Coupe, all three where unimpressive

.............not one Lotus Cortina anywhere

oh well
Really makes me wanna get back in the saddle, great stuff, roll on Goodwood
