baby Bertha was left for dead by most cars there, not sure if the driver is just too respectfull of her or drives like a fanny... some great stuff there like the quad cam cologne mk 1 facelift capri =P~ sounded as good as it looked.the small block mech fuel injection carlton + Manta ,the screaming mk 2 escort that budge thought had a BDA in it that turned out to be a full blown BDG!!! and all sorts of other weird Bananarama!.. Good day out, also saw Andy Rob`s mate in the sunbeam destroying most things that got in its way, and a TR 4 doing an impression of an upside down thing on 3 wheels :(
Nice to see a bit of different motorsport once in a while.. I went to 5 hours of F1 stock car racing on sat night, vegged infront of the TV for the F1 GP at Spa on sunday and this today.... 8-) 8-) 8-) Round the night off with some udders and thats it bank holidays a good un :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright:

Yep, great day's racing 8-) ...........I think Bertha's driver was on over cautious mode alright what with it's history/not been out in donkeys years/not the owner and not least it was peeing down on the first outing :pale: .............. I was surprised to see a Rover mill in the little Daf, sounded like a big-block :? but after talking to the driver who informed me that it's only used for display purposses nowadays we limit the motor to 5k and short shift it........... likewise the fat beetle went ok but not on full chat also,................as Rich said, the Mk2 Escort was very quick with it's BDG on mechanical FI, no other sound like it 8-) he killed everything in the wet but not the same story in the dry, I think this was down to driver skill however as he was the only one not lifting off the gas through Devils Elbow..............and yes, the Cologne Capri with it's quad cam V6 on mechanical FI sounded ace but didn't seem to be as quick as it should, maybe on the cautious side again :? ............ nice to see the little un's having a right good ding-dong with the big boys, Mini Marcos, Healy Sprites, Hillman Imps/Davrians, various Triumphs, etc and not least an NSU Prinz  that went well..............Also of note where some big bodied 6,0 litre Jags, a Reliant Scimitar with pro-charger that went well............
And yes there was some Yank tin there, 1 Camaro, 1 C1 Corvette, 1 Mustang Coupe, all three where unimpressive  .............not one Lotus Cortina anywhere   oh well

Really makes me wanna get back in the saddle, great stuff, roll on Goodwood :thumbright:
