Bacca I remember back in the early 1980s Steve Rawlings Road Runner had an axle failure. I remember say that the box might need a rebuild because of the sprag might fail. Didn't rebuild the box next time he ran it, it blew the box apart had a hole it the floor bits of box went through the bulk head lucky he didn't loose a part of his leg. Listen to Bacca be warned.
If one fails you can get home if you keep the speed low and the gears high (the front drum will be rotating at twice engine rpm) but it is sure not advisable as there will be swarf making it's way into every nook and cranny.
So drive only if you are desperate to get somewhere safe.

Dave thought that was Mark in the 3000LBs of screamin Mopar Dart ?
ALL KILLER NO FILLER
Nostalgia, its not what it used to be.
No mate I had to build a box for Steve after he blow it up. I cant remember if I built Marks box as well. Built so many Mopar boxes back then lost count. Used to rebuild Chev. Ford and British boxes anything. Even rebuilt one at the Pod for someone cant remember his name.
