So next plan is to sand blaste all the parts myself and them powder coat them.

Just got back from the sand blasting company.

Lots of work to be done :(

Not too bad though. The bodywork is in great shape.

Chassis welding is easy. No need to worry about warping.

Well after hours and hours of spin the car and washing it with thinners to get all the diesel out the panels the car got a lick of 2k primer and is back in the cellar

Technical Question

Before i go and buy sheet metal to patch rebuild this car can someone confirm if im correct.

I will use 1mm thick for the floor and front wings ect

and use 2mm thick for the chassis rails.

will this be ok :? :? :? :? :?

I have and im getting around 2mm on rails and 1 mm on pannels


Just want to ask to see what others use :?

Hey Will, if my memory serves me correctly, the B body panels in 1968 will be 18 gauge and the chassis rails 14 gauge.
The pump don’t work coz the vandals took the handles.

don't really look like factory when installed !! ( and are not inteded to be , un like the AMD stuff )) but can be stronger depending how you weld them in !!
expencive to ship though !

although could save time , while your waiting for these to come over , could be getting on with something else ??
