Ok I'll have a go les, my old 63 belvedere, weighed 3500ld without me so 3700 all in race weight, 500ci mopar mega block, ported Indy 440-1 heads 718/690 roller cam and 14.5-1 compression, was mini tubbed and on ladder bars running a 28x12 slick, best 60ft was 1.41 best et was 9.80@136.6 oh and it was registered and used occasionally on the street, had an msd timing retard in the car so could instantly knock 5-6 degrees out put in optimax and it'd cruise nicely,

One of the sweetest mopar motors i've ever heard.

yes mick thats my old car, didnt realise at the time just how solid that car was when we restored it, one of the ones i should never have sold, although it doesnt apear to have it in that picture it was an airgrabber car

Me and Jimbo ran with an iron-headed 440 as funds were tight.
Ex Rob-Loring built motor, ex Grumpy's Dart?
Raised port 906's, 1/2'' spacers screwed to intake sides.
Steel crank, ali rods, venolia pistons 13 t0 1.
650 Crane roller cam with Crane Golds.
Team 'G' with 1050 street dominator.
4.56 gears and humungous tyres 31 x 16's.
Best run by Jimbo was 10.40 at 132ish.

That's pretty good, what weight was the car and what dur was the cam

Yep, good numbers....to get well in the 9's on a 440ci on mtr is deffo 12:1 + CR, + heads, you just won't make 650 hp at 10.5:1 which is about what it takes to run that in an average weight back halved A-Bod.
