he has a glide in the car lez and maybe that is hurting it a little, reason for this is it came with the car as a roller and was new never run the converter is also not matched to his engine/car combination i think longterm it should go 9.50.s,Les Szabo wrote:Cannonball wrote:using a good back halved car coming in at 3,050 with driver its going to take circa 800hp to run 9.2s if all is in your favour,
rays dart is 3,100 with driver that has an honest 700-20 hp and runs 9.7s
that is one hell of a 440 to make that sort of power and i would think would need to flow enough air to rev around 8,000rpms tpo make that hp
Yeah, I think I'm a bit out with the ET's/weight etc Dunc...was basing it on my 9.96 at 3300lb at about 630hp +100hp for the PPM motor which is normally 8th's or so worth....but I guess it don't quite work like that always.......would've thought ray could do a bit better than 9.7's though.at 700/3100?
and it might weigh a bit more going off lod information on that,
have you seen the hemi darts/barracudas now lez ??? barton and other builders are making 900-1000 hp from a iron 426 hemi i think they leave the line at 6,000 and take em to 9,000 massive money engines 50,000 us dollars and more but amazing power,
google barton on utube built some magic engines,
