Dave
I dont run PV's in my car, the converter is 5000 stall, that and a 4.56 gear means it spends most of it's time on the main circuit or idle.
The run i did 10.40, i had my best 60ft and yet the speed was only just over 123, just shows how important 60ft times are.

Looking good Mick, nice to see things finally coming together for you, I know you've had your unfair share of issues with the car in the past, looks like you've got a handle on it now.

Nice pick Mick...time you got it on here....yeah I remember I tried a dommy on mine, and you lose too much bottom end/response without spending days trying to sort it, but my mph went up a bit with 1...really pulled hard top end, crap low down....you can't beat a 4150 carb unless you got a brake.
What front acc pump you got on the 950 Mick.....31 or 35 extended shooters?, spacer above the inlet?....
work on them 60's and don't bother about mph too much, thats just a tuning tool.....

Off the top of my head, i think they're 35's, that pic was with the dommy on Les, it was down on top end. The 1050 was very close to the scoop, i had to cut the vent tubes down to clear, if i get a filter, i might try it with the bonnet off.

oh ok, maybe thats the answer then Mick, dommy took a bit of torque away low down enabling you to hook better on that tyre combo on the day/track cond.......better 60's = less time on the track = less mph as you know...although it should've pulled a bit better top end though if you got it jetted right.....

I tried jetting up 3 sizes on the back and it picked up 1 mph, ran just under 124, popped the 950 on and it went nearly 127 mph, and it was showing a bit too rich.
It has gone 129 at pod before and 130 mph at shakey with the 950.
Oh, it went 1.45 60 ft when i stuck the 950 on. I think it hooked well on that 1.43 run because the burnout was better.

There you go Mick, bigger burnouts on that smallish rubber, dommy jetted up 6 sizes? whatever it takes to get it pulling real strong top end...ultimately the dommy should in theory perform better maybe giving you back those 128>130 mph's...and maybe 10.0>1's with that launch :thumbright:

not being funny Mick...but how do you do your burnouts......just ease on the throttle and shift 1>2>3 instantly.....no gaps, mine used to settle at about 5000 in 3rd with 4.88's..then count to 2 or 3 or whatever, thats how I did mine..its getting into a rythmn with it for consistency

I think one of the most important things is where you do your burnout in relation to the burnout box, i use second and then up to third, 5000+.
Years ago, people would do little dry hops up to the line.
