I'm still a fan of powdercoating.
I'm sure i've mentioned before I had my Yam frame done 25ish years and 40k miles ago and apart from chips on the front (which have never bubbled or lifted) it's still perfect.
Same as paint- it's all about the prep, you've had great results up to now Will, why let this one fail and one miserable sod put you off?
No-one will believe you...

No,not one mjserable sod, someone who has seen many times parts dangerously corroded under the coating with no obvious external signs. Caused every time by moisture getting the coating and being trapped there, sometimes for years.Anywhere under a car on safety related parts is a big no no.

Hey Paul, I'm another miserable sod too, I agree with Steve!

In my opinion you can't beat proper metal prep, etch primer, lead chromate if you can get it or epoxy etch primer and two pack...tough as old boots and looks great.

But that's my personal opinion, I've had one job powder coated in the past and within a year I'd stripped it all off and painted it...

On a side note i'm amazed that anyone would work in that environment. Breathing in the airborne gasses 5 days a week must do your health wonders!

Look forward to more photo's!! :thumbright:
I did ask that question and the boss said yes its very hard to find people to work here 6 months was the longest yet

The strange thing was that everyone that worked there had the same red spotty rase on there face :help:

Plan is the yellow zinc plate everything leaf springs the lot :thumbright:

Hey mate, due to the floods up here I have no TV or internet service at home at the moment.
We will have to entertain ourselves some way tonight. ;)

Gawd, that's all we need - a dramatic increase in the Geordie birth rate    ;)

Nick, I would buy you a drink at the bar, but you have usually fallen asleep under it by the time I have made it to the clubhouse...........in fact you and Larry could have a sleeping competition (I know you usually do this on the line.................)
