Post by Mr. 4-Speed »

hi guys,
i am knee-deep in the restoration of my Savoy; cloning it into a 426 Max Wedge car.
Trying to do a good job. Duplicated factory overspray, factory markings, etc etc.

Sweet. That looks to be work on a whole new level. Is it going to be black then? I assume it wasn't originally?

hey guys,

doing fine healthwise! Been free of cancer for exact a year today. So it's time for a big glass of beer. Was seeing if i could sell the car for a good sum of cash, but not giving it away. Otherwise..fix it and drive it.

cheers, Marcel

thanks man; i will try to take a pic of the orange peel in the paint, that would certainly give you a heartattack. I am just really having fun in sorting out all the factory details and (trying to ) duplicate them!
And, it's all about fun.

no; the factory just shoved them in.
The factory dipped the torsionbars in a paintcontainer..let it drip and dry and then dipped it again, to get a big fat coat of paint on the bars. But it looks like Bananarama!, I have to admit that.
