my 1963 Plymouth Savoy resto
hi guys,
i am knee-deep in the restoration of my Savoy; cloning it into a 426 Max Wedge car.
Trying to do a good job. Duplicated factory overspray, factory markings, etc etc.

Sweet. That looks to be work on a whole new level. Is it going to be black then? I assume it wasn't originally?Mr. 4-Speed wrote:hi guys,

thanks man; i will try to take a pic of the orange peel in the paint, that would certainly give you a heartattack. I am just really having fun in sorting out all the factory details and (trying to ) duplicate them!AllKiller wrote:Bloody Hell this is a new level of Resto...i couldnt do it....i couldnt live with the imperfections like the drips etc..but thats me

no; the factory just shoved them in.Cannonball wrote:daft question maybe but will the torsion bars have to be fitted so the drips face down ??????
The factory dipped the torsionbars in a paintcontainer..let it drip and dry and then dipped it again, to get a big fat coat of paint on the bars. But it looks like Bananarama!, I have to admit that.
