Bad news Del. Sorry to hear that. I know how you feel as I was without the car last year. Just doesn't feel the same does it.

Cheers Mick, and cheers to all those that have given me advice and the offer of parts, this will be my first nats without the Charger, but I will have my mate John Smith with me.

yer a strange man mr runner

THATS a prototype hemi 6

is that the one in coventry? thought theirs was a production NOS 245

if you ran that in anger the harmonics from the cam would smash the distirbutor bushes to bits in 30K miles if you took it over 3000 rpm

although it will be a thick wall casting...you could take it out 90 thou to 4 inch and build a daft slow revving slugger

Dizzy is at the primary node for cam flex and twist harmonics and used a slant 6 bronze gear on the dizzy mounted bang in the middle of the longest unsupported run of camshaft

production version has it set back behind the coil near a bearing and uses a nylon gear

secondary node but 70% less vibration...... aussies didn't fall for the same trap as some of the others who's sixes were ultimately not suitable for passnger car use...living a life as industrial and truck engines...if you want it to rev out at 6000 you have to change yer casting...

anyway del

you can have a go in mine................................up the access road obvioulsy i've seen you drive andys car

its got a sixpack :)
