Thanks guys, Fed up with the Poly. Anything you want for it is silly money.
It will never be a race car, so looking for a cool cruiser that rumbles along, and sounds nice.

So on the lookot for an LA motor. Have some feelers out and have some race goodies that I never used to trade.

But some prople, honestly! They keep telling me thay have HiPo 318ci motors, Their mate told em. And they are asking $4K for a stock small block.

Stupidness. I have found a rather nice mild built 273ci for $700. But still hoped to pay less.

We will see.

Well, finallt tracked down a low mileage 360ci. Belonged to a guy from new. But a tree fell on the car! Ooops.

Can't see me having time to get it done this summer. So hopefully plough on with it in the fall.

Got the motor home tonight, had fun getting it out of the Jeep without a hoist!

Overall a really clean motor. Going to give it a good old scrub, and get some paint on it. Undecided on headers or stock manifolds, But have to have dual exhausts on it now. It has been far to quite so far.

Came with cast 4BBL. But no carb. Local store sells remanufactured Edelbrock carbs for $238. I had one of those on my old '57 Chevy. It was very reliable. And at £152 might be the way to go. But will keep an eye out for aluminium intake.

Not sure if I will make Moparfest this year, but if I do, I am sure I will get all I need there. Getting all revved up again now. Not going to be a quick car, but will sound cool, and parts for the L.A. are plentyful and cheap.

Found my box of new unused parts that I bought over with me 3 years ago. Ohh, brand new Summitt billet fuel pump, filter, regulator and gauge. Together with loads of braided hose and earls connectors. Must find a use for those. :thumbright:

I would not go with an Edelbroke, quite hard to tune......

I think headers would be the way to go, you DO want to make some horsepower ;)

Also we need pictures!!

Was there even a bit of mild peril involved in rollin it off the jeep? Hope so cos that makes it so much more fun eh?
Good motor tho, 360's are an excellent basis for a cheap strong stroker Jeff, car could be fast then couldn't it?

There were more than a few scary moments for sure.

No stroker on this. Perhaps another day. Just a few mild tweaks, and a clean up. Then get it in.

Jeff, that's a truck oil pan on that 360, you'll need to change it for a car pan & pick up. Didn't want you finding that out as you were lowering it into the engine bay...
