Like I said earlier...I'm in Kent and usually at a lose end all day everyday so if you're bored I have a nice example of a 68 Charger you can view if only for the sake of interest

Sounds like a plan. I'm now living in Weald and am off from tomorrow night, but if I'll get in touch once I get back from my holiday to see when you're free towards the end of August :)

600bhp skyline is all very well, but you just cant use that sort of power on the roads.

id much rather have people see me crusing in a super sexy sounding piece of classic american muscle and thinking 'now that is nice' (to which they do, if you dont want attention dont buy one :D )

then screaming past people at 140 scaring them all and have them thinking
'what a Bananarama!'

I've done my 'high power Jap performance car' time for now with the 350z and am not after some sort of a drag strip monster/tyre burner which is why I'm looking for what I'm looking right now :)

That i do agree with, i to have had high tuned motors but used at the right time and place, ive passed all that lark. I live in the sticks and i always have the knobs in their golfs, saxo Bananarama! etc racing up my arse, over take on bends or two or more cars at a time etc few days later there they are cars nose down in the ditch or laying on its side in the ditch. Serves em right!

My mate had a 383 high revving small block in an Ultima, circa 650hp.

No where the style, comfort & class of your Bentley, but boy did it handle, always felt it was capable of handling significantly more power.

I had a 12 month spell with a new Datsun GTR35 but the running costs were seriously getting to me.

Indeed Sasha...give me a shout whenever you're around

Don't believe all you read about E body handling - they really are no worse than any other Mopar (and still better than others IMHO ;) ) - they just LOOK like they can handle better :D ;)

In any case, as you said things can be done to any one of 'em to improve that - findings on the intraweb is proof of that!

If you want to try a Challenger give me a shout - I'm over in Essex. It rides and handles pretty good for and old motor 8-)

I will definitely take you up on that offer. Living near Sevenoaks, getting to Essex is pretty quick and easy and while I've seen a fair few of these, I never had the privilege of a guided tour! :)

Its the old fashioned technology that gets me post 1970 vehicles with a 440ci Engine and no power assisted brakes or disc brakes in many of them. Maybe at 55 mph they didn't think it necessary without having to stand on the brakes?
