Owen's 78 b100 318

and something to fill the hole! Rebuilt 318 with .030" overbore, KB pistons, Comp cam 268, some tidying up of the ports (2 bbl heads I think) and the already fitted Edelbrock performer manifold. After fitting there is a nice pair of Hedman van hedders to go on to be mated up to a nice set of side exit pipes that I need to get made up. Topping it off will be a nice shiny Holley 600. Not sure what sort of figures its going to put out but a fun little program comp cams do suggests over 300 bhp and 330+ lbft.... we'll see!!
The engine was rebuilt by Bannister Engines, Preston, who may have taken a long time but I was impressed by their attention to detail, price and the fact that I could pop in and bend their ears any time I was passing. Also thanks to Dave Billadeau for supplying the pistons and extra advice!

as for paint! Thinking that the original colour looked quite good (see pic below) and I've found a very nice copper that I'm going to trial on the bonnet. But one colour is not enough, so I'm thinking of throwing in a bit of teal green, possibly going to have a go at a bit of lace paint! If your interested in whether they match stick 'copper and teal' in google images and it will give you an idea. As far as the lace paint goes I have only found one van that it's been done on (emerald express I think it's called) and as I've got quite a large canvas to work with I thought I need to do something.

Cheers for the link to the pics, think I have seen 90% of them and like them all. Trouble is I need to match inspiration with the aspiration to Bananarama! and my bank account! Full on airbrushing would be ideal but unless it's sponsored I don't think I can afford!
Glad your happy, Wolfman, that some-things being done to the old girl. It would be nice to get into a conversation with yourself sometime so you can let me know what she was like when you owned her, if you can remember. As far as the old cortina seats I think one has gone as there was a renault badge on one. Anyhow, the whole interior is being ripped out as earlier last year I had a bit of a flirt with lexus gs300's, the first one got written off and ended up with the insurance company and the replacement (which should have been better) blew the head and I decided to scrap it but I have saved the rather sumptuous interior. I do like my luxuries.

Well this is the whole partially filled, would have put more on but can't find where I put the damn pulleys!! Anyway got till Saturday to source everything else I need to get it running, don't trust myself to fire it up myself (and also as a bit of comeback if necessary) so I've got the guy who built it coming round for it's first test run.

Does no one like the wheels that are on it? I thought they went quite well
Other than that it's getting the flake paint and definitely Radial T/A's. I'm not sure about cutting anymore holes in it for portholes , unless someone can find me some cheap
