I know I am being thick here, but have you not just put new half shafts in the car after you found one flange and wheel was bent???

Guy, what you need to do is take it a bit easier.

Pull away gently and don't put your foot down hard, just toodle along gently and you can admire the scenery as well.

Always here and willing to provide sensible advice when the going gets tough... :D

A set of Slicks, prepped track & good traction will try to screw the hell out of most shafts . . .

As Pete said, I also thought you upgraded your shafts, they look after market ? 31 Spline, hard to tell from photograph ?

Hopefully Mr Hauser can get it swiftly sorted for you

These were the the old shafts but were not twisted before as I had had them out before and would have noticed. I have not taken them out before now as my garage is too small to get both wheels out from under the car and I had to wait for the weather to improve ( no hard frosts) before pulling the car out so I am able to work on it.

Thanks Ivor I shall try that next time ;) it would save me a fortune..

to be honest mate i'm not sure but its not enough

You are right mark the are after market units and were Strange race shafts not the street strip shafts. Anyway I dropped the shafts in at Hausers and have a couple on order but I may be doubtful for Gary's Picnic

Are they stock spline Guy ?
I ran stock spline moser shafts in my old 8-3/4 for3 yrs or so and the axle's still going strong in a friend's high 12 sec, 4 spd truck with 5.13 gears.

My Challenger still had the OEM shafts in and still has as far as I know. No sign of damage despite many hard launches.

Good steel in those days. :D
