I like white cars and i think white suits that body shape well.
To be honest the colour is all I like on that car apart from being a 340. No power steering or power brakes which means laying out more money to have it converted.
I know you said you have to have a car converted to hand controls, does that include the brake? Its hard enough for an able bodied person and requires a fair bit of pressure like standing on the brakes.
And theres the bench seat, try staying in one place when driving. So could mean more money to be spent on seats.
I think you could get a better car that ticks all the boxes. Not trying to put a downer on it just pointing out a few things. But you know your capabilities better than me.
I would almost certainly go over and look at a car i was thinking of buying from the US.

I think you really need to see a few of these beasts in the flesh and understand te implications of options such as drum only brakes and struggle steering....
Window shopping is great, but it is costly or hard work to do conversions........
thanks for the advice Guys,
Lack of power steering, disc brakes and bucket seats mean its a "no" from me, which is a shame as there are plenty of things i like about it.
Pete, you're right about window shopping- I'm doing it to get an idea about potential problems with cars in my price bracket and to decide what I'm looking for..
Unfortunately I've not been snowed under with offers to take a look at members cars so it's down to using you lot to narrow down exactly what I want.
I'll probably use an independant inspector to have a look at the a potential purchase- the logistics are to big potentially to go over myself?
I would hang out and buy in the UK, if all else fails go for that Satellite at 6k its cheap drive it around for a while to get you on the road.
Its only a name Satellite, Roadrunner, its all just snobbery at the end of the day.
The Sattie has no less fun factor than a RR once that big block 400 v8 is burbling away at the lights. And as said the 400 still makes a formidable weapon once stroked.

Stuart,
I'm an impatient person, so easier for me to say than do
The Mopar Nats is only a couple or so months away & I know it's a large proportion of the 'summer months' to lose, but it might be worthwhile putting off a rush decision till then.
You will get the opportunity to see the biggest collection of Mopars within the UK & covering all spectrums of car types & in various conditions. It will give you the chance to talk face to face with folks & chances of catching a ride are far greater.
In addition there is the possibility of some cars being for sale & to make an offer for those that aren't for sale.
"I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered."
Well, the impatient one could get you in a world of pain if you make the wrong choice and either have to adapt the car even more; or worse still bail on it..........
Stuart, If you fancy a trip down the M1, our MMA Chryslers at Brooklands event is on and there'll be a good selection of cars and MMA members there, so you can have a good look around and even a toodle around, if you are lucky!
The pump don’t work coz the vandals took the handles.
I think the thing you'll struggle with is that there arent as many 71-72 road runners/satties over hear as there are 68-70 Stuart, as the guys have already said chryslers at brooklands and the nats would definately be good places to do some serious shopping
