In terms of performance:
No Nitrous:
60 foot = 1.63
ET = 10.7
MPH = 127
Nitrous:
60 foot = 1.51 (still rubbish, but 1st time out)
ET = 9.98
MPH = 138
You have to remember that this is a 512ci Max Wedge Port (unported) motor with a .250" Stroker crank at 12:1 compression, and a .624" Roller Cam. It is no slouch to start with.
Also using a transbrake but launching at around 3000rpm instead of around 4000-4500 as intended.
However, even for 2 runs; you can see there is quite an impressive pick up in performance with a very basic and simple installation.
You do NOT need complexity to get a good upgrade in performance - don't listen to all the BS and up-sell.
Hope this is informative.
Pete

It also pays to select the right plugs.
At the Nats Roger Luty forgot to swap out his road-going plugs for the Nitrous ones and melted the groundstraps off all 8 plugs on a single run
Mind you, he Bananarama! it with a 300bhp shot, but even so.............

Yeah, I bought a couple back in the case for Nick WoodsPete wrote:We stuck with NOS solenoids.
Unfortunately Real Steel have bailed from stocking NOS systems and components due to the market being flooded with cheaper (poorer quality??) items; so getting parts is becomming an issue...
