Rust protection, what to use ?
Moderator: Moderators
Good idea....another thing worth doing is to go around all of your wheel arches and inner fenders and make sure they are alk properly sealed. I had a couple of small gaps between the inner and outer fenders just behind the front wheels. I used seam sealer to seal them then a couple of coats of waxoil.....job done

Those desert cars are solid , the rubber parts and interior suffer sun burn but that is alot easier than replacing rusty partsJohnny Dart wrote:My car came from the Nevada valleys and later Arizona, so the weather has been kind to it.I want to keep it that way.drewcrane wrote:And the un seen tin worm gobbling up the inner frame.Dave wrote:A dry warm garage and a car with a plastic body is even better.
I dont have as bad a rust issue as alot of you might have so it is interesting to see what people use
Unfortunately we keep throwing salt all over the roads, I noticed the local council gritter trucks out a couple of nights ago.
I must get it filled up with something before I get it on the road.
