My day job is about project managing, building rapport with people & good PR so that's not an issue. (& I speak English, just with a Norfolk accent!)
I've spent over 5 years building my dream mopar.
You're right Mossy I know every inch of my car but I'm not great with others.

Congratulations!
Easy, tiger! Remember I said "Job Share!" I'm lacking the Mopar knowledge, last thing we need in the club is a chairman that gets a dart & barracuda mixed up!
Right. Come on chaps.
I think Sinny could be our new leader
Sinny. Stop worrying about knowledge.
As Ivor said he has some one lined up in a years time so give it a shot.
If you don't like it after a year hand it over.

At the end of the day I'm going to miss having Ivor as top dog. He has been fantastic for the club in all ways. I never thought he'd abdicate his reign !!
But unfortunately he has so a new leader must be elected.
Sinny fits the bill in my mind on his own but as a club we can all muck in ?
I have always offered help with the stand etc if I'm available to do so.
It's not often we fail to help other members out is it !
So. If you fancy a shot Sinny I'm sure you won't be left pulling your hair out with worry.
We are the MMA .

Sinny...youve got my vote matey...and dont do yourself down...Ive read loads of threads where you have offered great advice and support to others. No one expects you to know it all (only Ivor can do that ).
Don't put yourself down Sinny, you probably know more than you think. If you have the time to dedicate to the role, give it a go. As Ivor and others have said there is plenty of help out there and the opportunity to meet some interesting people. Go for it mate.

I'll have a chat with Ivor as I want to know more about the role.
What do others think?
I don't think a huge knowlege of mopars is that important for this role. The resource at your disposal that has that knowlege and experience is the membership itself.
You should be able to call on local area reps to help as well as the other members of the committee. Think of the club as a multi skilled team you are managing and you should be fine.
