A friend with a f100 had camcoat on his headers inside and outside, after a run you could still touch headers and kept looking good

Yes, I have heard the coating works as a brilliant thermal barrier......

I think this coating was originally on the '67 Dart Gasser Headers and side pipes. I think I need something a bit more "Show" on this project. Thanks for highlighting, though....

In Germany we used

spray Alu

Its was welder and spray gun in one.

It would feed a roll of alu to the gun the arc would melt it and the air would spray it. Cheap and very good. Had little thermal property's.

You could wrap with heat tape and use gold pretty wire

Zircotec every time, great work and good people, ex Harwell business very profesional, if I can do anything to help just ask, they are just down the road. They do work for my neighbours Arden Automotive on special projects.

Jet Hot in CT Pete, but if you want to get flash you need some serious plasma spray, or do what sensible folks (F1 etc) make 'em out of Titanium, then you don't need to bother

I think it was Camcoat but was over £400 for headers / collectors.

Good finish though.

Did they coat them inside as well Pete? I read some some companies do but Zirtec don't . May stop them rusting from the inside out if you do short journeys and the headers don't get hot enough ??

I can't remember - I have not seen them for 18 months

I think they do inside and outside. Mopar Mark will know..........

I can't fault Zircotec, great service & quality. Mention Frosty sent you, I got a significant amount off.

Depending on what you choose, affects the cost or the amount of thermal protection.

Mine were not coated on the inside, so less of a concern to me with them being made from stainless.

Drastically reduces the amount of heat in the bay, also helps in getting spent gases out
