Hi Steve...congrats on the new arrival mate!! :thumbright:

Im finding shifts mixed with the kids all growing up and doing their own things means I have a fair bit of down time (most of the time anyway). Once I get started on a job it doesnt take too long to get it done. Trying to have just a few jobs going that I can flit between but not too many that I cant get finished up before the next stage. Nothing worse than dozens of unfinished jobs and no progress!

Learning a lot as Im going along which was the whole idea of buying the Fury

Looking good fella, I do the same thing, lots of stuff going on at once but only I main job on the car which I start and finish. I find that's the best way to make fast progress.

Thanks Blue...youre old MIG welder is getting some use!!!! :thumbright:

I always think Im wasting good time if some paint on something isnt drying while Im doing something else. Got inside and outside jobs as well....interior getting done on wet days (cleaning and polishing interior chrome in garage) and bodywork one section at a time getting done on dry days outside. Want to get all the little loose ends done then do the trunk as a completely fresh project.

Wheels finished this week so should be going back on in next few days and interior trim going back in so its not lying round getting damaged...then may make a start on the front edges of the doors...minor patches needed..watch this space!!

Cheers Steve :thumbright:

Just had a great tinkering day on the Fury....tidyed up a load of small ends ready for the next batch of bits to do.

Painted up the section I welded in to the top of the drivers side wheel well that had rusted through. Very shiny and looks freshly done but no probs as Im not trying to hide the fact Ive done work etc. Left the vin plate completely untouched...screws n all, just to avoid any issues at DVLA when it comes time to register.

Front seat back in just to get it out of the way more than anything. Really pleased with the dye on the cloth inserts!

Lastly Ive had a play with wheeltrims etc on my Cooper Cobras. Cant decide but Im erring towards skirts on with dogdishes .... constructive opinions welcome please gents. 15" steels would look great but the 14"s are what Ive got to play with...

cheers Steve :thumbright:

I'm the wrong person to ask, because I'd say no skirts, no hubcaps, chrome nuts....

Seats came at a treat mate. Well done.
As for the wheels. All look good really. Perhaps some pics of the whole car with the different styles may help ?

what about painting the polished trim rings black and fitting them? it'll make the wheel look a deeper dish.

Lookin good Steve......... 8-)

All or nothing mate.

Steels and nowt (as Blue says) or side skirts and wheel trims.

TBH when you stick on the decals the steels will look spot on......... :D
