Disc brakes for my plymouth C body
Now that i'm getting more from my lump under the bonnet the drum brakes all round are starting to feel the pressure of stopping.
i have a 67 Fury vip c body and would like discs on the front at least.
What and where are the best place to get the whole setup in the UK??
Can i pinch them from other cars?

I don't think there is a straight forward off the shelf solution available in the UK, certainly there isn't for other models
Options are generally buy in one kit form the US, but shipping would be quite high.
Or
Use utilise hubs and callipers, possibly a arms from other disc cars such as b bodies etc
This is the route I went with my dart, I used parts from a 73 barracuda disc set up.
Certainly people on here will have done it so there will be people along with better advice

Think this conversion is popular and easier over the pond because the parts are still, around in some junkyards...not so easy here unfortunately.
Have you tried new flexihoses all round?? That can make a difference...

bracket for caliper bolted onto the mounts for the drum back plate.
late mopar disk hubs and rotors if you can get bearings to fit...will involve a visit to a bearing place with the bits i'd guess
ideally you'd be looking for a caliper that is lug mounted with 4 pistons
avoid radial mounted because its never easy to make a bracket for that.
light weight modern calipers are expensive and OEM stuff tends to be radial mount these days
Jag XJ calipers 4 pot 3.5 inch lug mount for wide vented disks
90s hilux/4runner/surf/landcruiser calipers 3.5 inch lug mount 4 pot for thin solid disk or wide vented disk
are two i have looked at becasue they at least mount direct to A body and possibly B body disk stubs which have a 3.5 inch mount for the original 1 pot Slider caliper bracket or mopar 4 pot caliper.
the toyota stuff limits you to a smaller rotor than orginal by about 4mm
the jag stuff was for bigger rotors but is heavy.
jag stuff might be the go....its a big car
you need to make sure that the disk rotor swept area is wider then the pads... i.e covers tha pad but the edge of the rotor doesn't hit the pad mounting pins
you don't want any pad overhang because they will not wear in the over hang area and will eventually meet in the middle leaving you with no brakes.
this is a problem with jag calipers and the smller mopar disc rotors the bigger ones should be ok.
