I don't believe that's how you did it..........all those years of Blondie posters..........Steve wrote:Getting there Carl and yes mate....got a right arm like Arnie from shaking the cans!

Think the black roof really breaks down the huge area of red and suits the overall look.........Keep it going mate!!

Did these cars ever have stripes from the factory on the rear quarters?...........Red with black accents.........

Thanks Will...and Dave, you know me too well!!!
Terry...the pillars and edges look great...its down to poor prep on my part I think with the rest. Im really pleased with the good bits...just need work on the rest. Interesting re matt and clearcoat, suppose its just like the base and clearcoat ive used on the body. Mate in the bodytrade told me to consider using a 2k filler primer but bit difficult for me to do on the drive. Think to get it spot on, i need to get the big air sander out and take it right back down to metal and do it properly this time instead of playing at it.
Dont think these cars ever had factory installed stripes etc....maybe put a bumble bee stripe or billboard on it??

Back to work on the Fury this weekend after a short break to enjoy the Summer at the shows in the Polara.....
Finished the trunk off, all painted and new trunk mat in etc. Pleased with the results, and solid as a rock now
Took the old single circuit master cylinder out and put the new dual circuit one. Bit fiddly getting to the plunger to disconnect it from the brake pedal but got there minus a bit of skin on the old knuckles. Swapped the old plunger and spring etc over into new one. Fixed the brake light switch while I was there.
Will sort new brake pipes this week hopefully then on to bit of lighting wiring.
cheers Steve

Im keeping her original where possible Dunc so have gone down the grey stonechip route. Its got the same texture as original, but is the wrong shade of grey. Eastwoods do the correct darker grey with white spatter in it but it is very delicate and not waterproof. When I get some, I will cover it with matt laquer to seal it

thats good steve, but joe egg on a buttie wont know any of that nonsense when you come to sell it, a nice shiney trunk you can wash down any staining is far better than that grey stuff, it will look so much better in gloss red paint, most mopars are painted body color in the trunk,,,,,,,Steve wrote:Im keeping her original where possible Dunc so have gone down the grey stonechip route. I hear ya big fella but sticking with original where possible at the moment....Ive got the engine bay back to stock looking and am enjoying doing it as it was (ish) from the factory. The mat is perfect for the bits of the original mat that were left and here are a couple of pics of what Im aiming for. Second pic is more like the colour mine should be from the original stuff left prior to resto but first one shows the white spatter in the paint as it should be
Appreciate your thoughts and input as always Dunc....
cheers Steve
