Thanks gents :thumbright:

Next up I welded exhaust bungs into the exhaust.

Into these I will screw in lamda sensors.

These will give information to the ECU (electric control unit) if the engine is running to lean or to rich.

Fuel tank I went with a pre built all in one unit from aeromotive

Specs
20 US Gal
A1000 pump submerged
Pre filter
Efi baffled sump
Return line into sump
Rollover ball vents
Fuel sender

Sprayed the boot floor with my favourite stuff ( raptor spray truck bed liner)

I will use camping foam mats cut to size around the tank and make some straps to go over tank

Pinion snubber Dana 60

A "real" car Dana 60 casting has a provisions for a snubber to be installed

<a href="http://s73.photobucket.com/user/autofet ... o.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i205/ ... j3tayo.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo A6B39D5D-0849-4790-9468-1D63B7CC639A_zpsfqj3tayo.jpg"></a>

Truck Dana 60 are plentiful a lot cheaper but have no provision for a snubber.

As mine is a truck casting I got a snubber cut it bent it and stuck it to the floor

That snubber info and pics were really helpful as my Dana needs a bit of fettling and I can't find anything in the manuals I have relating to it. Didn't know there was a difference between car and truck Danas . Thanks for posting Will.

EFI

Only going to say it once

:D Why are you Bananarama! ing about with a Carb :D

I will be building a very simple EFI system on a budget

If you are going do build a EFI system buy yourself this book

<a href="http://photobucket.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i205/ ... alctkm.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 3923D199-D5BE-4D7A-9DD7-E9CAEB24DC9D_zpsv8alctkm.jpg"></a>

Engine position

The ECU (engine control unit) needs to know what position the engine is at.

The easiest way is by using a 36/1 (36 teeth with number 36 removed) crank trigger wheel with a crank shaft position sensor mounted next to it.

If your clever you could

on bottom timing gear with sensor in front cover
a giant wheel on ring gear.
buy harmonic with the tooth cut into it.
