I'll take my chances Drew. Had my crank pulley fly off my 06 Transit on Monday. Luckily only at tick over , could have been much worse. :thumbright:

Happened to my workmate's BT Transit. We noticed it was overheating. Ignored it for a while, as you do with a works van. Eventually thought we'd best check the coolant and noticed a big gap where the fan should be!

Common fault on Transits, we've had a few fail at work. Everything fails eventually, a fan that has been flexing for many thousands of miles will fatigue at some point and not just at high RPM.

I have had one get the tips bent, go off balance which resulted in the water pump bearing wearing very quickly resulting in coolent loss.
