Are standard main bearing and con rod bolts available or are ARP bolts the only alternative when rebuilding?
I ask only because I am not building a race motor
and I don't want to pay a machine shop to check and resize the caps etc..
cheers

Not sure, but if it's all stock I'd clean up and re-use the old bolts.

I think the nuts are more likely to fail than the bolts.
As Steve says, I would probably reuse them. I think in principle that if you take the original bolts out you should get the rod ends re-circled...........

I also wish I hadn't have gone so mad with everything else and would be driving the car now ........

Pete speaks the truth. Within that thread madness and genius lies. Wils thread is great - I think I'd subscribe to the forum just to read it.
