It will be painted...just not red....but in the correct Eastwoods grey/ white spatter trunk paint......you are right though, I am becoming a bit of a vin licker. Im drawn to originality and unrestored cars.

All jokes aside though. I thought all mopes were body colour in engine bay and trunk. So something new I've learnt.
What years / cars had the grey trunk ??

There is a lot of conversation around this subject across the pond. Think it depends on where the car was built. Mine was definitely originally grey spatter finish

Jem's Belvedere defiantly had grey spatter paint from the factory in the trunk. Have to say that any other Mopar I've worked on had a body colour trunk, Either way looks good to me, the Valiant is a bit of a miss mash at the moment but will end up body colour.

Wish my car would end up like yours Roger!

Shows all done and Winter upon us so time I started freezing my nads off under the Fury again.

Had a reasonably productive day on her today. Managed to finish off the dual circuit brake conversion, fitted new flexihoses and replaced a couple of steering boots that were split. All steering joints greased up and ready to go.

Ive decided to completely rewire the indicator circuit so have drawn out the wiring diagram. Started to remove the switch from the column to properly test it for continuity (think I need a new one) but lost the light unfortunately.

Brakes a bit spongey so think I will need to re bleed the whole system to make sure all the air is out.

Thoroughly enjoyed today...onwards and upwards

Put a stiff leg on it, pump the brake pedal & keep it forced down with a piece of wood between the pedal & seat or wherever you can keep the pedal wedged down.

Leave it under pressure for a day or so, assuming there is not loads of air in the system, it will force the air back to the reservoir.

I bench bled my mc, worked a treat never had a problem after that.

Yeah, did that Miles but there is air in the new long brake pipe to the rear, two new front pipes and all 3 flexis. Just started with the one farthest from the MC and worked round to the closest one to it. Almost there but left a bit of air in somewhere.
