Dash voltage reg / temp gauge question

Mine did have the capacitor. The electronics guy suggested a 2nd.

Possible causes- I housed it in a gutted old regulator so maybe there was too much heat generated.

I have now bypassed the ammeter so less load on the wiring from the Alternator.

I have not checked the voltage - maybe the main regulator is pushing out too high a voltage.

If you have used a 7805 chip with the 3 Charger gauges it shows it can take the load.
