Body is in excellent condition and it just needs a quality paint job really. May go for a disc brake conversion as well.
F'me Matt you don't waste any time do ya! Glad you got it back ok. I bet your like a kid at Christmas?

Lol - had the wheels refurbed already. Bought new ones but going to keep the old ones as a spare set.

Want to get it spot on for the summer and whilst the weathers still crap and I'm waiting for the SVA test I might as well make good use of the time. Spoke with Dennis at Firm feel today and I'm placing an order for a stg III steering box as soon as I can find a core unit to send to him.

Once the bodies done it's suspension, brakes and then it's engine time !!

That will be a special car when it is completed, I would prioritise disc brakes over expensive suspension.

The Factory set up is surprisingly good considering it is so cheap; new bushes up front and for most applications job's a good 'un...........

Nice car looking car , would def leave it on the magnums though, Petes right about the brakes , as long as nothing's worn out on the suspension they drive surprisingly well ( better than the majority of people are willing to push them on a public road )

No SVA / IVA test needed on cars over 10 years old. Although you do still have to do the nova on cars from Europe.

Would be interested to hear about steering box upgrade

Mine has been overhauled but it's still like steering a boat

Im going to play about with the steering, a pal of mine is a fabricator by trade and hes convinced he can fabricate a modified column / rack to make the steering more responsive. Still going to order the box and give it a go though.

Its finding one lol - been looking for 6 months now for a nice R/T and
couldnt find one. Its also good to find one that needs a little work as you have the enjoyment of giving it your own final touches.

Im an ex time served body repair / painter but run a Renault Retail parts supply business ( Ram Induction Ltd ) not much use when it comes to MOPAR's lol

You have to do a NOVA declaration as well, I think you have 14 days to do it, you get fined per day after that
