Identify 727 torque converter

I found the torque converter,in the shed, that I had been looking for today.
I need help identifying the stall speed.
It measures 11" and has "hi stall" written on a red sticker, I can't find a makers name at present.
Any ideas of a possible stall speed ?

My sense is that if it was 11" in diameter then it isn't that high stall.....now if it was 8 1/2" I would believe the sticker.............

Most likely in the 2000-2800 range, partly dictated by your engines torque output. In general, an 11" convertor isn't likley to be "too loose" for an engine with a bit more cam in it than stock.

I got it years ago , with some Jeep stuff.
Maybe your expertise can shed some light.

2500 Bananarama! will suit me fine, XE 268 cam/Quick fuel 600 VS/air gap inlet/Pro comp ally heads.

Definalty worth trying. You'll soon know if it's right or not, too tight and it'll drag your tick over speed right down when you drop it into gear and the car will want to move, too loose and it will be a bit like driving around with a slipping gearbox.

Often, and annoyingly, you do not really know how it will react until you install it; but you will probably have more luck with it behind a Small Block.

I installed a "2800" stall converter in the Super Bee and I was a bit nervous at the time, but I did it because I had it and it was brand new....

The minute I even dropped the car into gear I knew I was in trouble.....the rpm dropped significantly from "N" to "1" and it was horrible to drive....I was so disappointed.

I waited 2 weeks before I ended up putting in a very loose convertor and it is GREAT!!!

4000 stall

but with high rear gears it works really well on the street........the advantage of a big block is that it still produces enough torque that on light throttle openings it will drive quite nicely, but when you nail it the motor wakes up with the big cam and it takes off like a stabbed rat (for a street car...)

So...you cannot always go by what the manufacturer or even the seller states.....which is a bit of a pain given the amount of hassle to remedy........

oh yes , and the Axle ratio will be 3.7.

I'm doing the axle first , in the next week or so, then test that, if all ok , then I'll go on to the the gearbox rebuild, test that, and then the engine.
that way if there are any teething problems

I can pin point any problems that way.

Here's a couple of pictures.
I'm not even sure it is for a 727, only thought it was , as it came with a 727 Range Rover auto box.
I thought it was new , but its used, and it's got a bit rusty in the shed for the last 20 years, but it was sealed to the elements.
what do you think ?

Mopar converters have the starter ring on them.

Yep, I don't think that's Mopar....My Ch@vy convertor has 3 bolt hole tabs so maybe a Fraud one
