new suregrip
took the car to get mot'd today, and to do a short run since fitting the rear end back together, new 3.55:1 gears with a new suregrip unit installed, i had run it up on axlestands for 20 mins on sunday, with nothing untoward happening, temp was just luke warm after this, after the drive back from the mot [pass] checked the temp again and it was just a little warmer than on sunday, on the old set up i always had a clonk when i put it in drive this has now gone 8) on this note i would like to say a big thank you to dave robson who put the parts in my caseing and showed me "how to" as i have not done one before, cant wait to run it in then see how different it feels under a bit of power

hi again, sorry i havent replyed sooner, james the whole thing seems quieter, it used to really clonk going into drive ,now it dont do it, luverly!
dave took the car down to work to day and the gearing is definetly noticeable, i definetly wouldn't want anything deeper in there, your 4:10's must have felt horrendous at first, but the good thing is that around the streets the resonance from the flowmasters is earlier on in the rpm scale, so i wasnt sitting in that drone at 30 8) got the ramps to myself this week so gonna dinnitrol the underneath, also gonna check one or two things while im under there, mind you noticed a vibe at 4000 rpm
but it's not from the axle, seems more like from the motor, will have to get you in to see sometime, as it's probably me worring about nowt as usual
