I have had "International Tourists" walk around the back of house into my garden and start taking photos as if the place was open to the general public....
.........just be cause the house is old people think they can treat it as a public museum............
Not a bird watcher per say, but we have a large bird sanctuary a mile from our house and we see alot of birds, had some house finches ,but we built a garage and they have not come back and this time of year they are up at 4 am.
You are welcome to come and see / Stay at the house, Drew - I will warn the locals first as it is a Local village for local people and they don't like interlopers..............

Well, a bit of progress, and I think I have spent more time working on the Thatcher's TATA pickup than he has on thatching (sort of......).
Seriously, there has been progress made.
I am now more qualified and I have finally advanced from straight sticks to bent sticks.....

These are actually used around Window openings and other adornments where the thatch is curved. You make these by soaking overnight and sharpening one end and then breaking the back of the Spar every 2 inches or so to make it curved......
..And general progress on the back of the cottage...

The Thatcher has started on the Front Elevation so that he can then work down the roof on the Ridge. I was surprised at how much material he has had to put on the front......
