That's a very good point.

Are the current ones just not a bit too wide, though? They look a little ballooned, out from the rim, which I'm sure doesn't work too well. Reverse tyre tuck, haha.
In reality I do not think it will make much difference as you may find that you would have to upgrade the suspension to get the best results.
Apologies, should have been clearer - it's not the handling that's the problem for me, just that these tyres are very old. While they're externally immaculate (no cracks between the treads or anything), they're 10+ years old. I'm in no rush to be interfacing with a motorway barrier if one suddenly lets go at 70mph. Must admit that I'm otherwise really impressed by the way it drives.
Thanks for the advice, though. I have been looking at 15s (I liked the idea of Chrysler steels, in black with hubcaps, and suitable tyres). I am keen of the way it looks on Magnums, though, so perhaps I should move up to 15-inch versions of those with newer tyres. I wouldn't mind filling the rear arches a little better.
