The slots looked great..........but dropping back down to 14s they just seemed a bit lost to me. If they had been 15's id have kept them.Blue wrote:Still prefer the slots.....
Gary.........Its work in progress (80% done) and next on the list of mods!

Rob......Body colour looks great.......now pick a shade of blue. I have about 15 on my car!

Pete......That's why I stuck with them after the slots being so close. But after looking at the car now, I could easily of fitted 245's on there with the Steel wheels BS.
Have about an inch tyre to spring on both and 3/4" passenger side fender and about an inch drivers side fender. This is all mounted to the factory choccy 7 1/4 rear end. I had to check they were 235's when I put them on.......

Slept on it and looked again.........Dishes are staying on!

daves dart
dave, I like dog dish caps, but only on wide deep dished rims , I would just have chrome lug nuts. anyway you will have to think again when you change the rear end and go BBP. my dart has 7inch rims and 245 60 15 BFGS fit perfect. good your making progress. Richard.

So I can confirm that you can remove the hood arms without removing the fenders..........Just remove the door and used the Dremel on the spring clips through the gap. Then slide off
10 mins to remove the door.
10 mins to remove the two clips and the arms just pull out and down through the gap.
60 mins to put the bloody door back on (not light) and for the first 45 I tried doing it by myself..........
Not wise!
The door slipped of the Jack.
Luckily I put an old tyre beneath the door (no damage to the door), but the bulk and momentum meant the door wanted to roll over on its side.............
Fear of smashed mirror and side glass (which was wound down for safety) meant, as it pulled it and I counter acted, it nearly ripped my right arm off! Wife wanted to take me to A&E but I said NO.......Let me finish the bloody car first!
Also managed to reseal the few leaks on the coolant system and trans lines after running them through a couple of heat cycles.
So trial fit time.......
More personal touches:

Placed on:

Inside View:

Front:

Next:
Refit passenger door.
Locate holes for hood pins.
Final coat of black for the hood and finishing.
Make brackets for rear pins.
Position and mount!
Bosh!
Bonus point: Only hose on the car i've not replaced has now degraded to the point its weeping..........
.......Enjoying the work all the same..........Bit by bit its being improved!!!!
Next year will be a big year for the car!!! Drive time!
