Pressure does drop as the engine warms (as i would expect)
have got a direct feed gauge,
Temperature once hot is approx 155 f ( about 63 cel.)
if sitting in traffic goes up to around 195 f ( about 83 cel.) but then goes back to around 155 when moving again.oil pressure does drop while sitting in traffic. (temp related)

I have also been advised it could be the oil pick up?

195 is the stock operating temp. 180 is better for performance.

There is a chance that it is just a worn oil pump and you are using too thin an oil.

But being realistic it sounds like worn bearings. Worn bearings is easy to sort. If they wear enough to damage the crank you are getting into serious money.
