Julius Thurgood is very much an English guy. Been involved with historic racing over here for many years. He’s been heavily involved with Goodwood and has experience organising race series.
If this race series goes ahead it would be nice to have some more Mopars in it - can't let the Mustangs have *all* the fun.
Last week I was looking at building a '70 Challenger Trans-Am race car to have a matching pair, then common sense (and budget considerations) got the better of me.
I watched the 2020 Sebring Historic Trans Am race on Youtube the other night.
Great to see your Cuda and Matt's Chally racing!
Coverage was average at best but the cars looked great, especially as they're the originals. Could have done with some in-car cameras like the Goodwood coverage.

There's a provisional date on hold for a first TransAm GB race meeting - Thruxton 25th October.
Fourteen V8 cars of the make/model raced in original TransAm 66-74 - (which includes Fastback Barracudas and '66 Darts) will need to book and pay before 27th June for the date to be confirmed. If anyone wants to join in , PM me for more details.

That sounds like a good day out if spectators are allowed.

Sadly the Thruxton date will not be going ahead, as not enough entries were received. It wasn't far off happening though.
There's a plan to try and organise another race in the Spring, possibly at Donington.
That's a shame. Will you be racing anywhere else this year?
Swinging sixties maybe?
My friend Jon Wolfe races a TVR in that series and said they are starting end of July at Thruxton.

Yes I'll be at Thruxton . Testing on Friday, racing on Sunday in Swinging Sixties, and also in 'Special Saloons & Modsports' with Bernie's V8. Looking at the race schedule I think I can manage both !
