This is an epic project! I should be convincing you to put a skinny tire on the back and bring it to the salt
Coincidentally I don’t know how available and expensive inconel and other super alloy welding rod is over there, but I have a bunch of it here. Got it as a job lot when I bought a tig welder. I can’t use most of it and it’s out of tag to be used on an aircraft, but if anyone needs something odd for a project let me know and I’ll see about shipping cost (willing to bet that will be high).

I am coming to believe a 56mph speed record is harder to achieve than a 400mph one!
Thanks to having detailed the engine all measurements could be pulled into CAD. computer-aided design.
This allowed us to design the rear engine mounting location and the Rear endplates.
We angled the rear axle plates forward 4.86° this ensures all forces and frame structure is designed about the load point towards the Engine output shaft.
Lots of holes drilled into the plates to alter rear ride height

will you be laying slightly more uphill this time so you don't need to bend your neck as far as before? i'd still love to see you looking down at a screen while a dash cam/gopro looks forwards at 200mph. that'd take some balls
neil.

well the screen/dashcam idea is just an electric periscope. there's lots of remote vehicles run this way and it's just a matter of getting used to it i guess in the same way as you do with reversing cameras in modern cars when parking. it'd raise some eyebrows at the track for sure.
as for the speed issue drone aircraft are remotely operated with cameras and they're much faster than you'll ever go.
neil.
