Re: Blue's Barracuda
Managed to grab a couple of hours this morning to sort out the rear brakes. I’ve got bonded shoes this time, hopefully they’ll stay in one piece. Was disappointed to see it wasn’t on my jobs list…

Drop down panel in the boot is a bit of a lump,I had to hack it up when the rollcage went in so made a new one. Plywood for rigidity with a sandwich of hardboard to keep the weight down.

Excellent! Wondered how you were going to do that.
24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? I think not…

Looks good Blue.
Loving the "holey" hinge bar - every bit of weight saved counts!

Re: Blue's Barracuda
Finished, I couldn’t cut the panel tight to the cage because the rear section runs off at an angle so extra clearance is needed so it will open and close.

Finally I appear to be ready for the Mopar Nats. In full race trim ready for Nostalgia Super Stock, just the tracking to set and 8 months of muck to clean off…

Re: Blue's Barracuda
December already and the car hasn’t turned a wheel all year. Project house has taken all my spare time leaving me with little time to do anything else. I’ve been fitting the crank trigger trigger Today that I’ve been fiddling about with for a while. The trigger wheel needed a spacer turning up to go behind it and a suitable amount trimmed off the bottom pulley. The spacers for the sensor also needed turning down for correct alignment. I’ll need to modify one of the cooler lines as well as that’s in the way. Next job is to wire it up and swap in my gutted distributor.

Shiny!
Does that change the way you set the timing, then? I know they are more accurate, but don't know that much about them.

Re: Blue's Barracuda
Yes, the distributor only needs to get the spark to the plugs with a crank trigger. You set the distributor to correctly phase the rotor arm to the cap and that’s it. The timing is adjusted by moving the sensor on its mounting bracket.
