Dave,The Ammeter shows +20(0 when I was coming back from Brooklands,What would happen if I have put the Wires the wrong way round?(I have had the Dash out to repair the Clock) :oops:

It should show a negative charge.
I have had the Dash out to repair the Clock
make sure that the teminals are not shorting on the back of the dash i had major problems with this a couple of years ago. Also check that the fuseable link has not burnt out (wire casing gone all crusty)

SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!!! :toothy4: For once the Plymouth P.O.S has played the game,wired the alt straight to the Batt.........Loadsa charge!!!!!!!!!!....going up to Duncans Weds morning,up the M40 etc, anyone about give us a toot,will be in the inside lane cause the 727s lost 2nd.Thanks for all the info.

Be carefull how much charge you are making if you wired it direct, the reg should still be working if you left the field wires on on, but be sure...
