While the Polara was in at Hauser's to get the driveline vibration sorted (which was a great success, at last!), we also asked Geof to look at the leaky park mechanism assembly on our push-button 727 and see if he could change the gasket while it was up on his ramps.
When we collected the car, he said they changed the gasket but found one of the springs (or THE spring?) in the mechanism had lost a bit of its springiness, but they put it back as best they could and sealed it up with the new gasket.
Since then tho, PARK doesn't seem to hold the car as well as it did. If you put it in PARK on a bit of an incline, it jumps forward with a knock / clang as if something’s jumping a tooth.

We've scoured the 'net for any kind of diagrams or instructions but no luck so far.
