Google around - e.g. oldride boards in the US. By all accounts they are a bunch of cowboys with extremely poor reviews of the cars that they sold, the selling process, etc. Steer clear.

Is this worth going to for mopar/other nice 60s/70s muscle or is there just a tonne of huge 4x4s and modern stuff there? Am tempted, but it's a fair drive away from Kent and I've got Saturday free.

I got burgled a few weeks ago so I share your pain. Unfortunately there is scum out there that cannot be eradicated and there's little you can do to protect yourself from it other than moving on and not letting it beat you down.

Looking to rent a garage - Kent/Surrey

Hi all,

Does anybody know of a garage I can rent somewhere not too far from the Kent/Surrey border (Sevenoaks)? I want to stick a car into the garage and do a bit of work on it on occasional weekends/rare weekdays. Not really fussed about details as long as it's secure and I can get there in ...

Budget-wise I don't have a set amount £X I want to spend - it really does depend on the car. Naturally I don't have stashes of money sitting around so we're not talking megabucks that some of these beauties are going for.

The reason I posted this one is that it does sound very appealing, but I just ...

Just sounds like a lot when you are completely new to the scene. Is this likely to take forever/require a new mortgage?

So much potential, but for my first classic car, I have a suspicion this will be a bit too much to take on :(

Don't believe all you read about E body handling - they really are no worse than any other Mopar (and still better than others IMHO ;) ) - they just LOOK like they can handle better :D ;)

In any case, as you said things can be done to any one of 'em to improve that - findings on the intraweb is ...

I've done my 'high power Jap performance car' time for now with the 350z and am not after some sort of a drag strip monster/tyre burner which is why I'm looking for what I'm looking right now :)

Like I said earlier...I'm in Kent and usually at a lose end all day everyday so if you're bored I have a nice example of a 68 Charger you can view if only for the sake of interest

Sounds like a plan. I'm now living in Weald and am off from tomorrow night, but if I'll get in touch once I get back ...

So Sasha non of the cars in the list i posted any good?

#1 is very good, but a) I don't have any unwanted kidneys and b) it's sold.
#2 is excellent, but given that it has 5 days to run and after adding shipping, duties and tax I'll also end up missing body parts.

Roadrunners don't really do it ...

Good luck on the car purchase, Sasha.

Very briefly....

Mopar: -
A Body = long, very popular in the scene, many variants over many years (with Aussie RHD cousins in various shapes and forms)
B Body = long and wide, many variants over many years, all are pretty much cool and respected
C Body = huge ...

Looks fantastic, but unfortunately my budget is in a different league to how much one of those costs. :)

That's CHEAP - you should have seen them a few years ago ;)
Just ask Jim ;) ;) :read2:

I am sure you will find a nice car in your budget range but I would suggest driving a few different ...

So if I get your first post right, your car budget is anything between £10K to £60K.

I wish I had a budget like that!

Welcome to the club.

I run a message board for Challenger owners if you want to look into that as well. There's a member on here who's considering selling his hemi cuda ...
