Have you trimmed that fuel filter? Cut the smaller sections off the ends and run a drill up the bore - they can cause a restriction.

I'm sure there will be someone along who knows better than I do but what manifold does it have? Dual plane is the way to go apparently. Does the engine have a thermostat in it? Gets warm enough? Fuel filter not restricting flow?

Well, it is better, but still puts a couple of drips out when it stops - fine when running.. hmmm

Yeah - thanks Dave - got another rope seal on order - has been fine for 6 or 7 years. Don't remember putting pin through it. Think my sump gasket and windage tray may have been causing more leaks than the seal actually - will it make much difference not having the windage tray - only gets used on ...

Just doing the rear main seal - turns out mine has rope seal - anyone changed to rubber seal? Possible without removing crank? Or a supplier of rope seals in uk?

I freshened up the motor years ago and don't remember having a rope seal, it was rubber, 2 part I think. Will double check those exhaust manifolds ont he 460. Thanks

OK, 2 problems here;
1, 69 Charger with 440 fitted, rear oil seal leaking, can it be changed with engine in easily? Only seems to drip on tickover when warm/hot, has been fine for 6 years.
2, I have a ford (I know, not mopar) 460 motor, silent on tickover but I get one lifter that taps when ...
