I do have to say I am staying stock on our other car ,
I dont trust MSD either I keep a spare , and the tach wont work
but a small after market one will ,they are a real pia FOR SURE

My MSD was always kept in the car, can't believe how many reported failures.....
Mine was mounted on rubber isolation bushes, always a good earth & clean positive feed

Pete, my Charger has a 6AL on it (not digital). Do you want to borrow that as a test as that does work (Ex Paul Knight race car).

Geez guys the amount you spend on this sort of thing you could have installed a high end ignition system and upgraded to injection at the same time!
If you want I can ask one of our neighbours if they have a spare Pi Delta box lying around from one of the F1 or Indy teams, probably about the same price at this point
There are about 150 different aftermarket ignitions out there, there must be at least one that works!
