I have Cherries on my 4 speed and love the overrun sound you only get with a 4 speed when off the gas and the cherries excaudate it, music to my ears. Also the slot mags are very 70's retro as are the cherries, but your car your choice. Looking good though.

Little bit of progress today. Still no gearbox parts turned up, so busied myself with a few cosmetic jobs.
Removed the nasty looking purple 383 decal from the bonnet, and repainted the inserts black. Looks much better. Not sure what to put in the gap. May adapt some '71 383 hood decals to go in there.

Also removed the overriders today, and got some chrome blanking bolts to fill the gaps. Also got rid of the bodged fog light from the back. Has made the car look much tidier and cleaned its lines up. Those overriders weigh a ton too! Rear bumper is covered in grease at the moment.

Looking good!
Maybe the angle, but those exhaust tips look like they are hanging out too far.......they would possibly look better tucked in a bit (just my opinion)!

Eventually, all the gearbox parts turned up and we were able to refit everything. It all went back together well enough. The clutch took a fair bit of adjusting to get spot on as so many parts of the linkage were worn out or incorrectly adjusted before.
Was also able to get the new pistol grip shifter installed! Been waiting to see what that looked like. Its one of my favorite pieces of Mopar muscle features, and i rekon its the coolest thing you can have in your cabin.
Had to drill the old one out, and the new one required a little fettleing with the grinder and welder to get the right fit, but its now pukka, and looks awesome!
A new set of plugs went in, and i got hold of some Roadrunner decals for the rear quarter. Was going to wait till the car was finished, but couldn't resist putting them on
