After some head scratching and procrastination, on with the doors. First job is to strengthen the hinge area to cut down on wobble but not add too much weight. I cut some 1.5mm ally sheet to back the front of the door and that will be glued in with tiger seal.

After a few hours fettling I'm close to a good fit, the alignment is about right. Dale leaves the doors slightly oversized so you can trim for a good fit, I've done around the window frame and the bottom edge, leaving the front and back edges for the moment, I'll sort those later. I want the doors to be lift off so I need to modify the hinges, think that needs to be the next job.

Doors
Looking good blue, would guess that's a ton of work to even fit, strengthen, then modify the door/hinges. Same question why lift off.

So, a bit of hinge action then. I did think of making new hinges from scratch but a quick calculation of time spent x weight saved = work with what you've got. This is the massaged bottom hinge, once I've done something similar with the top one I'll just have to pull the pin and the door will lift off.
